Open the cover and remove broccoli. Place cover loosely on top and heat chili and rice on high for 90 seconds. Stir and test for the desired temperature. If hot, add broccoli and heat for 45 seconds. If not hot enough, heat in 30-second increments until the desired temperature is reached. Salt and pepper to taste.
NOTE: If the family style aluminum container is used, empty contents into a microwave-safe container and then follow the instructions above.
Empty chili and rice into a medium saucepan and cover. Heat on Medium-Low for 8 minutes stirring frequently. If not hot enough, heat for 3 more minutes and test. Continue this process until the desired temperature is reached. Add broccoli for the last 3 minutes to heat. Add salt and pepper to taste.
NOTE: When heating Family 4 packs, use a large saucepan and increase the cooking time.
