Our ingredient of the week is cranberries, the secret superfood.
Cranberries are traditional holiday fare, thanks to their introduction by Native Americans to starving English settlers hundreds of years ago. Today, we know cranberries are very nutritious.
A single serving contains:
- High concentrations of antioxidants, consequently higher than broccoli, spinach and strawberries
- Significant amounts of Vitamin C, manganese, and dietary fiber
